I sit here at my desk bathed by the light of three LCD monitors. An array of seven hard drives sit to my right, access lights blinking like a starry sky on a clear night. I type out letters on a keyboard tethered by no wires. I listen to music forged out of 1’s and 0’s, transmitted to a receiver through pulses of red light. At my digital helm, a world of information, communication, and entertainment is nothing but a few clicks away. How did we get to this point? What made it possible? More importantly, where are we going? I hope to answer these questions and much more in the coming weeks. I also hope to talk about specific products, services, and companies that have changed the way I live. Stay tuned!
